Job responsibilities include controlling costs and kitchen budget to minimize losses, participating in the development of new menu positions and improvement of the existing menu, controlling the quality of raw materials and products, maintaining relationships with suppliers, organizing the distribution of work among the kitchen staff, and instructing the hired chefs.
